Rhema Orange

Our treasurer, Arthur Gilmour, has been on the Board now for ten years. During that time he has produced a daily meditation on the Scriptures which is broadcast 6am weekdays, 6.30 am weekends. He has just commenced the third (or is it the fourth?) reading of the whole Scripture. Arthur is a research scientist with NSW Dept of Primary Industries working since 1984 at the Agricultural Institute on Forest Road. There he is responsible for a statistical analysis program ASReml (www.asreml.co.uk) used around the world. This research has seen him visiting many countries from Brazil to Malaysia, USA to South Africa, Europe and Israel. The Lord usually gives him opportunity to discuss the scriptures, whether with Jews, Christians or Moslems, which he enjoys.

Arthur trusted Christ as his Saviour at 12 years of age, and has enjoyed serving God in a variety of roles including Scripture Union Agriculture camps (leader and director), Orange Christian Schools (director and treasurer), Orange Christian Brethren Assembly (Elder). He has four children and five grandchildren. Ellen, his wife, currently works at the Christian School. They now live on a small olive grove at Cargo (www.cargovale.com.au).
